Well, technically Prime Day has finished. Technically. But wait! Plenty of deals are still running, so you really haven’t missed out if you still want the best deal on a fantastic gaming PC. This year prices have been sliced on prebuilt gaming PCs, though you may be surprised to find some of the best sales this year aren’t actually at Amazon. When it comes to fully kitted out PCs, Newegg has many of Amazon’s listings beat. We expect these deals to keep running for a while now, so it’s still a great time to get on the hunt for your next rig. And luckily, we’ve already done most of the work for you, so get cracking on those deals.

We’re currently seeing RTX 4060 gaming PCs drop down to less than $800, and systems featuring the mighty RTX 4080 Super hovering around $2,000. PCs with the original RTX 4070 are getting some serious discounts too, as it’s been superseded by the RTX 4070 Super and retailers still have older stock to ditch. The regular 4070 is a great 1440p card, but even PCs featuring the much faster (and newer) RTX 4070 Ti Super are getting great discounts too.

Don’t fret over buying a prebuilt PC with a last-gen CPU, but if you’re looking at an Intel chip from the 11th Gen or lower, or an AMD Ryzen 3000-series CPU, you should be able to do better and still secure a good deal. Likewise, you want at least 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. If everything about a deal looks perfect for you aside from the storage, though, we’ve hunted down some good Prime Day SSD deals this year, so it may be worth your while to buy something with less storage and upgrade on the cheap.

How do I become a Prime member for Amazon Prime Day?

You can become a Prime member for free for 30 days by signing up via Amazon’s Prime membership page. This will, however, require you to create an Amazon account and provide payment card details. If you only want the Prime benefits for the duration of the sale, make sure to cancel your membership before the 30 day period runs out, or you’ll be charged the subscription fee for every month after that.

When will Amazon’s Prime Day 2024 event start?

Amazon’s 2024 Prime Day event runs through Tuesday July 16 and Wednesday July 17 this year, but the good deals are already well and truly underway. Retailers like Newegg and Best Buy, and some of the major PC builders like Alienware, HP and Lenovo have also kicked off their deals early. That means significant discounts on gaming PCs now, during the official event days themselves, and for a little while after as well.
